A new look for Dream to Learn

POSTED IN: My DTL blog: Chris' blog

We've started rolling out a UI refresh, including simplified navigation, more white space, and overall a cleaner, simpler look. We're also adding images for communities (prominently displayed in the navigation bar).  Under the covers, the upgrade is driven by an upgrade to Bootstrap 3 (see http://dtl.to/chris/dtl-tech/9 for details).

You should also see a much better experience on mobile devices -- Bootstrap 3 allows us to create a powerful responsive design that automatically adapts to smaller screens.

Look for more improvements in the coming days and weeks.  We believe in a highly iterative development approach that sees us release new code into production frequently, often several times a day.  Our distributed, redundant architecture allows us to perform rolling, in-place upgrades.
