Dream to Learn is shutting down...

We are very sorry to say that Dream to Learn will be shutting down as of December 28th, 2019. If you have content that you wish to keep, you should make a copy of it before that date.

Introducing Dan Senter

POSTED IN: My DTL blog: Chris' blog

One of the ways we're keeping ourselves honest at Dream to Learn is by having an advisory board.  I'm very pleased to announce that the first member of the advisory board is Dan Senter.

Dan is currently the lead pastor at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Lafayette, California, and is someone who is deeply engaged with the question of what it means to live a significant, meaningful life in the modern world.  Before he became a pastor, Dan worked as a Senior Analyst at IBM in San Jose for eleven years.

One of the convictions driving the Dream to Learn project is that people are hungry for more substantive engagement on meaningful issues, beyond the ideologically-driven haranguing that sometimes passes for debate.  The reality is that for many people in the world, this includes spiritual questions, whether we are believers or not, and whatever our individual religious or spiritual beliefs.  It is my hope that Dream to Learn will be able to provide a place where substantive, meaningful engagement between people of very different views can take place (and we are actively working on features like the "collegiality score" to facilitate this).

In asking Dan to anchor the advisory board, my hope is that he can help guide and frame some of those discussions.  More generally, his breadth of experience is going to be invaluable to Dream to Learn in all kinds of ways.

Welcome, Dan!  You can read Dan's Dream to Learn blog here.
