Project Jetsons (Retrospective) - Hacking Ford Auto Data

POSTED IN: Data Analytics & Visualization Blog

This morning saw a link on Hacker News to this article:  http://www.eetimes.com/document.asp?doc_id=1321200 - "Ford Invites Open-Source Community to Tinker Away"  ( Open XC )

I attended a Boing Boing / Ford event August 2013 - http://boingboing.net/tag/ingenuity - and we did a little work with Ford API's and vehicle data - so thought I'd repost here.

Project Jetsons takes engine speed, vehicle speed, and steering angle information and translates it into (a) a map and (b) the sound effects from George Jetson's car.

Happy hacking :)
